No Google Business Profile yet? We'll help you claim yours.

A lot of the time, the "front door" to your business online isn't always your site, it's the Google Business Profile that shows up before anyone reaches it. That's the map listing with your hours, your reviews, your phone number, and a button to call you right from the search results. If you haven't claimed yours yet, we'll help you get set up as part of every new web design project.

We gather your details

We start with the basics: your business name, address, phone number, website, hours, and photos. These are the details Google uses to verify your listing and match you to the right local searches, so getting them right from the start matters.

We set it up right

From there, we handle the complete setup and optimization, choosing the right categories, writing a clear business description, and structuring everything for maximum local visibility. This is the part most business owners skip or rush, and it's usually the difference between showing up and getting missed.

You start getting new customers

Once your profile is live, customers can find you, call you, and get directions directly from search results. That's the payoff of a listing set up right from the start: less guesswork for customers, and more of them landing on your site ready to act.

Google business profile setup: included with every new website

The listing that customers find most often before visiting your website is your Google Business Profile

You can have the best-looking website in your industry and still lose customers to a competitor with a worse one. Here's how: someone searches for what you do, Google shows a map with three business listings, and yours isn't one of them. They never even reach your homepage.

This happens constantly. A business owner spends real money on a new site, gets the design right, and skips the one thing that actually gets people to click through to it in the first place.

Your Google Business Profile is the panel that appears when someone searches your business name or searches for what you offer near them. It shows your hours, your phone number, your reviews, and the map pin showing where you are. For most local searches, this is the first and sometimes only thing a potential customer sees before deciding whether to visit your site at all.

We set this up as part of every new website we build, not as an add-on. This should be the standard for all web design companies, but it isn't.

Here's why your Google Business Profile has to match your website.

Search engines treat your website and your Google Business Profile as connected pieces of the same puzzle. When they match, consistent business name, consistent address, consistent phone number, your business shows up more reliably in local search results. When they don't match, or when the profile doesn't exist at all, you're invisible in exactly the moment a customer is ready to choose someone.

This really matters a lot for small and midsize businesses.

A small or midsize business doesn't get a second chance to make a first impression, and sometimes, that first impression happens in a search result, not on the homepage. Someone deciding between you and a competitor is often comparing listings side by side before they've clicked on either one.

That's exactly why the two have to work together. Your Google Business Profile gets someone's attention and gets them curious. Your website is what closes the gap between curious and convinced, with a clear answer to what you do, why you're the right choice, and what to do next.

We build both into the same project because they're solving the same problem from two different angles. A great listing with a weak site leaves potential customers with nowhere to go once they've decided to look closer. A great site with no listing means fewer people ever get that far in the first place.

If your current site isn't backed by a real profile, or your profile is sending people to a site that isn't built to convert them, that's worth fixing. We'll take care of it for you as an included part of your web design project.

Are you ready to have a website that finally brings in more business?

Your website has one job. Let's make sure it does it well. Tell us the #1 action you want visitors to take, and we'll build a site around it.

Questions

Get answers about how we can help set up or repair your Google Business Profile.

What is a Google Business Profile, and how is it different from my website?

A Google Business Profile is the free listing Google shows in search results and on Maps when someone looks up your business or searches for what you offer nearby. It includes your hours, phone number, reviews, and location, visible before anyone clicks through to anything else. Your website is where someone goes to actually learn about you and take action. The profile gets attention. The website converts it.

Do I need to do anything on my end, or do you handle all of it?

We handle the setup, the details, and the optimization. The one thing that has to come from you is account access, since Google ties ownership of a Business Profile to the person who controls it.

If you don't have a profile yet, we'll walk you through creating the free Google account so you're the owner from day one. If you already have one, you'll add us as a manager on your existing profile. Either way takes a few minutes, and you keep full ownership the whole time. We never ask for your password, and you can remove our access whenever you'd like.

Is this really included with my new website, or is it an upsell later?

Included. Every new website we build comes with Google Business Profile setup as part of the project, not as something we bring up after the fact. A website that looks great but doesn't show up in local search isn't doing its job, so we treat the two as one project instead of two separate line items.

I already have a Google Business Profile, but it needs work. Can you help improve or fix it?

Yes. An existing profile that's incomplete, outdated, or set up poorly is still costing you visibility, and cleaning it up is part of what we do. We'll review what's there, fix the categories, description, and details that are holding it back, and optimize it the same way we would a brand new profile.

Can this help me if I'm a service-area business without a storefront?

Yes. Google Business Profiles support service-area businesses that travel to customers instead of operating out of a physical location, like plumbers, electricians, or mobile services. We set the profile up to reflect the areas you actually serve, so you show up in searches from the right customers instead of relying on a storefront address you don't have.

I have a Google Business Profile, but my reviews are bad, or I don't have many. Is that included, or just the initial setup?

Setup and optimization are what's included with your website. Ongoing review management, responding to reviews, encouraging new ones, and monitoring your reputation over time, is part of our separate online reputation management service. It's a more involved, ongoing process rather than a one-time setup, so we have to bill it separately rather than folding it into a website project.

What clients say

We'd love to have the opportunity to impress you next!

"They asked me what I wanted people to do on the site. It occurred to me that my last website person never asked. It seems like such a simple thing. I actually do get calls from my site now, whereas before, I never did. Thanks guys!"

"72 Design Studio is very easy to work with. If you're crunched for time, hire them NOW! Our website was in dire need of a redesign but I put it off for years not because of the money but because I didn't have the time needed to get involved with another project. I talked with Eli on the phone for 30 minutes and about 10 days later I had a modern site that tells our patients everything they need to know. I also suggest getting the managed plan. I am not a web person so being able to just email him with whatever I want on the site and then it appears is well worth it for me. I never think about our site unless someone compliments it which is the way I like it."

"I paid $36 a month for a Squarespace website for 9 years. I did the site myself and if I'm being honest it was not good. I just paid it because you're supposed to have a site. I don't think we ever got calls from it. So glad we finally decided to dump Squarespace and get a real site. The 72 guys are awesome, you won't regret hiring them."
